St. Augustine's to Stuff Backpacks for Homeless Students
St. Augustine Anglican Church is offering young people an opportunity to volunteer for a couple of hours to help stuff backpacks for homeless children. The Stuffing will take place at the West Scarborough Church at 656 US Route 1 in Scarborough on Wednesday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. The project will take no more than two hours to complete. This is the perfect opportunity for children ages 8-15 to volunteer for a short-term community service project.
The backpacks will be distributed to homeless students in four school districts in southern Maine – SRU 23, Saco, Biddeford and Scarborough. If you have questions or need more information, call Valerie at 860-237-1874.
